This cultivar is one of the oldest and most reliable. It flowers profusely with dense panicles of beautifully scented, brilliant white flowers opening from creamy-yellow buds in May. Leaves are lush, green and heart-shaped, accenting the flowers. If needed, prune out any excessive branches after flowering. Tolerates renovation pruning. Hardy.
