This charming oak is a rare species originating from northern Turkey, Armenia and adjacent areas of Russia. Somewhat reminiscent of sweet chestnut the Armenian oak is a slow growing shrub or tree with a broadly-round habit maturing to 6-10m. The mid-green, leathery leaves are distinctly veined and most attractive. Acorns in clusters in autumn. H6
