The Japanese wisteria are one of the most spectacular wisterias with its fragrant racemes reaching nearly half a meter. It's a vigorous climber, the stems twining in a clock-wise fashion which can grow up to 30m; however, they are easily trained and respond well to pruning. Leaves are shiny, dark-green and pinnate.
