'Aconitifolium' means leaves like aconite which aptly describes this elegant maple. The deeply-cut leaves unfold green and remain so over summer. As autumn approaches the foliage creates a stunning display of greens, yellows, oranges and reds. Produces the best pure scarlet colour of any maple. Needs a sheltered location in semi-shade. Hardy.
