This is probably the most popular and widely grown willow. The 'x' means it's a hybrid betwen to different willows namely S. alba 'Vitellina-Tristis' and S. babylonica 'Babylon'. 'Chrysocoma' is both architecturally stunning with its golden weeping habit as well as very hardy; however, as with most willows, it's a heavy drinker. Beautifully fissured bark with age. H7
