'Deshojo' makes a stunning small tree which adds interest to the garden for months on end. Its five-lobed leaves are a brilliant shade of shrimp pink when they unfurl in spring, turning to green during summer, and finally scarlet in autumn. Like other Japanese maples, it needs a sunny or partially shaded position which is protected from cold winds. Hardy.
