A small but very vigorous shrub with fine arching branches and delicate, deeply lobed, large leaves. In spring the foliage unfolds dark purple, turning purple in summer and then bright crimson in autumn. Stunning next to ponds or other water features. Plant in a sheltered, well drained location with dappled sunlight. Container suitable. H6
