Combining the best of two parents (A. rubrum 'October Glory' x A. rubrum 'Autumn Flame') 'Brandywine' bears mid-green leaves which in autumn shifts to a brilliant scarlet then deepening to a stunning and unique purple-red palette. Colour is intense and more consistent than typically found with the species. Prefers acidic soils. Shallow roots. H6
