This cultivar is a clone of A. flava f. vestita from the NAKB in The Netherlands. It was taken from a tree in the Zuiderpark (The Hague, NL). It grows into a medium-sized tree with a wide conical crown that becomes spherical with age. It can reach 18 m or even 25 m in height. The leaves are palmate with 5 or 7 leaflets, 15 cm across, and dark green. They are not very hairy underneath, unlike the typical A. flava f. vestita. They turn yellow violet in autumn and fall early. The fruits and young shoots are poisonous. It tolerates hard surfaces well, but not salt (for icy roads). It is hardy and resilient to urban pollution.
