'Citation' is a cultivar of a hybrid cross between C. saluenensis and C. japonica, originally bred in Cornwall by John Charles Williams. Upright to spreading habit with glossy, dark-green, evergreen leaves. Flowers are very beautiful, unfolding semi-double, pale pink in spring. Requires shelter, dappled sunlight and moist, acidic, humous-rich soil. RHS hardiness rating: H5
