A classic, native hedging choice. New leaves emerge a fresh lime green, turning mid green in summer, then a warm golden yellow in autumn. Dry leaves often retained through winter in dense, mature hedges, especially in sheltered areas, giving additional screening value. Slow to moderate growth rate. A deeply rooting species whose rooting habit is not notably problematic.
