Originally from midwestern United States, this species is closely related to C. bignonioides but has a more upright growing habit. The big, heart-shaped leaves are slightly thicker and the purple-spotted, trumpet-shaped white flowers, although less profuse, are larger followed by remarkably long seed pods. Needs shelter and full sun. H6
