Discovered growing along a road in Maryland, USA, this cultivar boasts with a profusion of fuchia-pink to red, pea-like flowers on bare branches in April. The handsome, heart-shaped foliage quickly follows suit, maturing to blue-green in summer then turning a golden yellow in autumn. Best in moderately fertile soils with consistent moisure. H7
