The cultivar 'Red Majestic' is very similar to 'Contorta' with curiously contorted branches. However, as the name suggests this cultivar has beautiful, deep purple leaves. Pink/purple catkins decorate the tree in late winter and early spring. Normally grows into a dense 3m shrub but can be grafted onto a trunk to create an quirky, interesting tree. Hardy.
