Normally one would have to wait a good many years to see a younger handkerchief tree in flower. However, the rare cultivar 'Sonova' indulges its onlooker with large showy bracts on trees as young as 2-3 years old! Characteristic heart-shaped green leaves with distinct veins and gently serrated edge. Protect from wind, avoid frost pockets. H5
