This cultivar of beech is a superb, small, weeping tree with dark leaves. Usually top-worked to make a small mushroom-headed specimen which is both pleasing to the eye and a wonderful hide out for children. Occasional reverting twigs may appear, which should be pruned off. Grow in full sun for best foliage colour. H6
