Native to Japan and parts of mainland Asia, this is an impressive ash reaching 30m in height. The large pinnate leaves are dark-green, turning a delightful mix of red and yellows in autumn. An excellent landscape tree for moist, sunny conditions. Highly tolerant of pollution. Not suitable for areas which experience late spring frost. RHS hardiness rating: H5
