A fast-growing highly ornamental conifer with a rather unpredictable though broadly conical crown. Spectacular in a sunny position in spring when the light filters through its fresh light green foliage and small cones. Also interesting in autumn when this conifer surprisingly takes on the golden tones of its deciduous neighbours then drops all its needles to reveal a bleak winter silhouette. Deep rooting. H7
