A compact, very small sized evergreen tree with camellia-like foliage of shining olive-green which bears large panicles of white flower in late summer. Ligustrum japonicum is an ideal tree for garden screening, robust, quick growing, and easy to control with occasional pruning. Harmful if eaten.
