Named after the Dutch nurseryman Jan Van Kuijk, this selection is famed for its remarkably fissured bark, even on young trees. The maple-like foliage is akin to the species, colouring beautifully in autumn with red, orange, purple and yellow. Decorative burr ball fruits remain on the tree through winter. Remove cane support 2-3 years after planting. H6
