'Fastigiata' is Latin meaning pointed or sharpened which is a fitting description for this tree. Other than its upright form its characteristics are identical to that of the species. Unique tulip-shaped green leaves and equally unique tulip-shaped greenish-yellow flowers in June/July on mature trees. Spectacular golden yellow autumn colours. Hardy.
