A very rare, slow-growing cultivar of the tulip tree known for its distinctly lobed leaves marked with a flame-like yellow central streak or mottling. The yellow-green flowers, appearing in June-July, are marked with orange near the base. Matures to an eventual height of 8-10m. Requires neutral to acidic, moist but well-drained soil. H6
