A gorgeous cultivar from New Zeeland with an upright, broadly-oval habit bearing extravagantly deep-purple, goblet-shaped flowers in May up to 15cm across. The rounded petals, rarely unfold, retaining a very neat appearance. Lush, mid-green foliage. Requires a sheltered position in acidic to neutral, well-draining soil. H6
