An elegant hybrid using Magnolia x veitchii and Magnolia liliiflora 'Nigra'. Richly scented, pink, narrowly cup-shaped flowers are borne in April-May. The petals are heavily flushed deep pink at the base with a distinct stripe on the back. Needs a sheltered spot with full sun or light shade. Handsome, dark-green foliage. H5
