A reliable culinary or dessert apple. Fruit is orange red flush, some red stripes over greenish yellow/gold. Well ripened, quite sweet, plenty of acidity, firm juicy flesh. Well suited for tarts and cider. Stores well, becoming sweeter the longer it is stored. Flowering group D, partially self-fertile. Rootstock: 'Bittenfelder Seedling' and Malus type 4. H5
