Bred by the Laxton Brothers in 1897, 'Laxton Superb' is a classic old Victorian, British apple, a cross between 'Cox's Orange Pippin' x 'Wyken Pippin'. This late season dessert apple is green with a dull red flush. Flesh is sweet and firm with an aromatic taste. Grown as a hardy Cox-substitute. Flowering group D, partially self-fertile. H5
