An early season variety originally from 1930s Japan; a wonderful cross between the classic English variety 'Worcester Permain' and the American heritage apple 'Jonathan'. Beautiful, red russet skin, firm but juicy white flesh with a good balance of sweet and sharp flavours. Does not store well. Flowering group D, partially self-fertile. H6
