A most attractive Dutch tree with an extravagant dark pink spring flowering. The leaves unfold purplish-red later changing to bronze-green in summer. The flowers give way to small, red or purple crabapples. The fruits keep well into winter and are highly attractive to birds. Like most crabapples Malus 'Mokum' does well on most soils. Prefers full sun. Hardy.
