Evergreen. A tall, upright bamboo forming a dense clump over time. Canes are bright green at first, maturing to a golden yellow. A fairly well-behaved bamboo given ample space and good management. Fully hardy but does require shelter from cold winds and a good moist soil. Non-invasive roots.
