This North American classic is one of the most reliable and flavourful of the plums. As it blooms fairly late the flowers are less likely to be ruined by frost. Fruit is smooth with dark blackish-blue skin and orange-yellow firm flesh. Excellent for fresh eating, canning or drying. Flowering group C, self-fertile. H5
