For textural effect, this cultivar is one of the most handsome cherry laurels. The leaves are very large, up to 30cm long and 10cm wide, and extremely lustrous. The branches tend to stretch outwards rather than upwards, creating a relaxed, slightly pendulous effect. White, scented, upright panicles in spring are followed by black (poisonous) berries. H6
