A remarkable selection with dark purplish shoots, coppery-purple young foliage and pale pink flowers borne in 12cm long racemes in spring. The foliage matures to a sombre green in summer, retaining its purple tinged veins. Small black berries appear in autumn, enjoyed by wildlife. Does well on all well-drained soil. Requires full sun.
