A popular dessert pear introduced from France in 1849 with fine flavour, similar to 'Conference'. Fruits are produced in early winter. Pick in October while fruit is still firm and store until November before eating. The variety 'Concorde' makes a good pollination partner. Well-drained soil, full sun. Flowering group D, not self-fertile. H6
