An interesting alternative to the usual pleached options, this ornamental pear produces blush to white flowers with the leaves in late spring, provides a glossy green foliage through the summer, then phases to a strong red in autumn, often persisting to Christmas. Small brown fruits sometimes produced in late summer. Moderate to fast growth rate. Deep rooting.
