A dessert/fresh eating pear first introduced in Hertfordshire 1885 at the National British Pear Conference, hence the name. Fruits are yellowish green, tinged golden russet. The flesh is white, firm and of a pleasant flavour. Good pollinator. Ready in October and November. Partially Self-fertile. Pollination Group C.
