A popular dessert pear introduced from France in 1849 with fine flavour, similar to 'Conference', which rarely grows taller than two metres. Fruits are produced in early winter. Pick in October while fruit is still firm and store until November before eating. The variety 'Concorde' makes a good pollination partner. Flowering group D, not self-fertile. H6
