Discovered in a mass planting of Q. palustris 'Crownright' seedlings in 1994, 'Green Pillar' also known as 'Pringreen' is a gorgeous upright tree with nearly vertical branches and a strong central leader. The dark green foliage is similar to the species and turns a beautiful deep red to scarlet red in autumn. Tolerates poorly drained soil and some flooding. H6
