Deciduous. Our large native oak tree renowned for its rugged gnarled habit, wavy margined leaves, and acrons. Very slow growing but ultimately forming an enormous characterful tree which can survive for up to 1000 years or more. Best on heavy soils. Ideal for large gardens, woodland, and parkland planting. Also a lovely choice as a memorial tree. 10m tall at 10 years. Deep rooting.
