A hardy, slow-growing, dignified and extremely long-lived conifer with short, deep green 'needles' which produces an adundance of soft, red, luscious-looking-but-toxic berries with a dangerous appeal. 6' in 10 years. Very easy to shape and topiarise over time for a dramatic, stately effect. Well suited to chalk. Deep rooting.
