'Zelzate' offers a dense, compact, ovoid crown, excellent for avenues and broad streets. Handsome heart-shaped leaves with fragrant flowers in June providing a great source of nectar for wildlife. New shoots take on a reddish flush in sunlight, offering good winter interest. Good yellow autumn colours. Great on all well-drained soils. H6
